Sources are the mechanism for retrieving data for the index. They are mostly pulled, but can also be pushed via API. Before a source Sources can be configured, a Connection must exist Connections must be set up. The data inside a source are then presented via Sections to the user.

While importing data from sources, you can use Field Processors to manipulate or extend the given data.
